Know your file
Black strokes are intended for engraving lines. Red paths are optional cut outlines. Both arrive without assigned laser speed or power.

Determine a safe material and make a small machine-specific test. Use the Material Test tool rather than copying settings from another laser.

Beautiful work starts with a safe workshop.
Digital artwork is not a certification that a material, laser, or setup is safe. Confirm manufacturer guidance for your specific machine and the exact material.
Before every job
- Use only known, laser-approved materials. Never process unknown plastics or PVC/vinyl.
- Confirm laser classification, appropriate enclosure and eye protection, and effective exhaust.
- Check focus, origin, work area, and the physical clearance of the design.
- Run a frame and Preview; check line/fill/cut assignment and output order.
- Keep the machine attended and have a suitable fire response plan.

Questions, answered.
Do I need an account to use the studio?
No. The studio runs in your browser. Personalization happens locally; it does not send names to a server.
Will every file work on any laser?
No universal machine compatibility can be guaranteed. SVG is supported by LightBurn, but you must verify import, scale, layer settings, material compatibility, and machine limits. Cut mode is only for suitable cutting systems and approved materials.
What are the red and black paths?
Black is the engraved artwork, constructed entirely as single-line vector paths; red is an optional cutting perimeter. When imported, assign operations and set all laser parameters based on your own machine and material tests.
Why are the letters not editable as normal text in LightBurn?
For portability, the design studio converts lettering into vector paths. Edit it here and export again. This avoids missing-font problems during SVG import.
Can I sell objects made from these designs?
These project designs are original material supplied with the companion. Personal use and sales of physical items you make are permitted under the included license. Do not resell, redistribute, or upload the digital design files as standalone assets.
