LASER PROJECT STUDIO | AMERICAN HERITAGE SERIES
LIBERTY SHIELD THREE-LAYER SIGN
Original editable vector concept | Companion to LightBurn Made Clear

SKILL LEVEL: ADVANCED
CATEGORY: American Heritage
SAMPLE SHEET DIMENSIONS: 263.53 x 172.94 mm
FINISHED BACKING WIDTH: 120 mm
NUMBER OF SEPARATE COMPONENTS: 3

WHAT YOU RECEIVE
- 1 original SVG sample with paths, not embedded bitmap images.
- Black paths identify engraving lines (not filled/shaded photographic engraving).
- Red closed contours identify optional cut outlines and do NOT set machine power or speed.
- Text is converted to outline strokes, not a live editable font.
- You can personalize the same design via Laser Project Studio and export a fresh SVG.

THREE-PART ASSEMBLY NOTES
This is a flat layout of THREE physically separate pieces:
1. Large blank backing, on the LEFT of the sheet.
2. Smaller decorated front plate, at the UPPER RIGHT.
3. Small circular star accent, at the LOWER RIGHT.

The three shapes must be cut separately from laser-approved material. The cut outlines should be closed; inspect in LightBurn before sending anything to the machine. Dry-fit after cutting and cooling. Center the decorated plate on the large backing, then choose a placement for the accent that does not obscure text. Assemble with adhesive only if it is appropriate for the tested materials and intended use, using the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.

No pre-engineered hanging slots, structural connectors or weatherproofing are supplied. If you intend to hang, ship or sell the assembled piece, engineer and physically validate suitable hardware, adhesives, mechanical strength and long-term durability first.

At 120 mm finished backing width the whole unmodified sheet is about 264 x 173 mm. If your laser’s usable bed is smaller, rearrange the separate pieces in LightBurn only after verifying that their size stays unchanged; do not shrink below the material’s minimum reliably cuttable feature size.

RECOMMENDED LEARNING WORKFLOW
1. Identify your exact machine, controller, supported materials and usable working area.
2. Check material identity and finish. Avoid unknown plastics, PVC/vinyl and materials not approved by the equipment manufacturer.
3. Import the SVG via File > Import in LightBurn. Confirm physical dimensions in mm, path shapes and absence of damaged geometry.
4. Review black engraving geometry. Distinguish line engraving from optional fill operations; do not assume filled artwork from a preview.
5. Inspect the RED cut outlines. Turn OFF layers that should not run. Review cut/engrave order using Preview.
6. Determine appropriate operation values using your machine-specific documentation and real material tests; never apply universal settings.
7. Verify enclosure, extraction, protective equipment, emergency readiness, correct focus, origin, framing and continuous supervision.
8. Execute only a fully checked job on approved stock. Observe and record actual results. Do not leave an operating laser unattended.
9. For cut components, measure, fit and assess physical reliability before using the finished object or selling it.

PATRIOTIC ARTWORK NOTE
Original stylized motifs inspired by American craftsmanship. Not an official US government emblem or representation of an official flag. No implication of endorsement by veterans' organizations, service branches or public agencies. Avoid adding seals or insignia whose use is restricted.

TECHNICAL LIMITATION
This sample has been checked as SVG/XML geometry. It has NOT been physically laser-cut, assembled or endurance tested. Laser support, materials, machine output and cut quality are not guaranteed. Test on your hardware before production.
